D day

Welcome back Fabulous Kids,

Thank you for your great work yesterday.  Did you check out my blog last night?  Your acrostic poems have been posted.  You are officially published authors.

Please order your lunch and wash your hands.  Next, you should use your laptop to take a picture that represents your learning this week.  When that is done, you should try to master skills D.12, D.13 and D. 18 in IXL.

The students built a lean to from scratch with the help
of naturalists from Earth Spirit.

After the ridge poles were in place, students placed the cross  "beams."

Because of their diligence, the students quickly completed
the frame of the lean too.

The snow and the fallen leaves made for a beautiful location for learning about the Iroquois.

Adding leaves for insulation was a fun, albeit messy, job.

The students pose in front of their complete lean too.

This fun day would not have been possible without the support of these adults.  Thank you!

Hello Builders,

I am looking forward to working and learning with you today.  It might be chilly outside, but I have a feeling that you are going to have a great time!

Please move your stick to bringing and take your backpack to your desk.  Take a minute to remove your planner, your take home folder and your book to read.  Your backpack should include your lunch, dry socks and a change of shoes.  We will leave shortly after announcements.

In the meantime, please work with your group to build an acrostic poem.  Use the paper on your desk to get started.  Be sure to have each line be detailed and informative.

I am glad to see you today.  Please order your lunch and wash your hands.  When that is done, you should update your reading status.  This is also a good time to shop for a back up book or sign up on the librarians' book recommendation list.  

Once your reading work is handled, please complete the plural noun page on your desk.  Be sure to read the directions so you can be successful!

Happy Election Day,

It is an important day in our community.  There are many political races happening today.  We also have a special election in our classroom.  I appreciate all of the risk takers who have decided to run for student council.

Please update your reading status with details and pride.  Next, you should get your laptop.  I'd like you to spend some time this morning figuring out Paint 3D
