Dear 4th Graders,

I had to say that one last time...I can't believe we are at the last day of school!  Today will be a fun celebration of your time here at Elma Primary.  It is a powerful mix of excitement, sadness and nostalgia.

Please order your lunch and wash your hands.  Next, make sure your Books Read list is updated.  Count up how many books you have read.  Then, work with your group to add up the number of books your group has read.  Please bring that number to morning meeting.  I hope to have morning meeting right after Morning Movers.  We need to be efficient!

Happy Field Day,

You will head outside at 9:15 today to begin.  While you wait, please use this time to update your Books Read List.  Once that is done, you can read quietly.

Hello Patriotic People,

Today we will celebrate Flag Day with an assembly outside.  You will have a chance to sing patriotic songs.  I am so glad to be back with you!  ________, ________ and ______ will share.  Please order your lunch, wash your hands and organize your area.

Once those tasks are done, please grab a red Social Studies books.  I'd like you to work with a partner or two to read pages 65-79.  Try to answer some of the questions in there orally with your partner.

Hello Strangers,

I PROMISE I am still your teacher and I am alive....I just have to go to a meeting today.  I am missing you all so much, and I'm sorry I won't be with you today.  Please keep being your best self!  I will return tomorrow.

Please order your lunch, wash your hands and read the two new poems.  Next, you should complete DCCR 15-3.  If you finish that before everyone else, you can illustrate the poems.

You can't sign up, but I am hoping three of you are prepared to share an animal.  Your substitute will call for volunteers during morning meeting.  Have a great day, do your best work, and I'll see you tomorrow!

I am sad to tell you that I will not be joining you today...I came down with the stomach bug last night.  I hope you all have a wonderful time.  Be sure to keep moving so you can see all of the fun buildings, people and artifacts!

To get ready for your trip, please move your stick to bringing.  Then, put your lunch in the bag that has your chaperone's name on it.  Next, wash your hands.  Finally, please work on any unfinished pages in your Chapter 14 review packet.
