This week we are celebrating Perimeter week in our classroom!  That means that every day there will be a perimeter problem for you to solve.  Please do this work in your Math notebook.  Even if you can do the work in your head, please show your work.  Also be sure to label your answer with the unit.

Once you have solved the perimeter problem, please read the new poem and number your spelling pretest paper.  You should also take some time to update your books read list with anything you finished over the break.  Lastly, please steal a few minutes to read.

Hello and Happy Pi day!  Pi is the 16th letter of the Greek alphabet, and it represents the number 3.14.  Get it?  3.14...3/14  that's why today is pi day.  If we have time today, we will learn more about pi day at Wonderopolis and Brainpop.  You can do some pi "experiments" by following the directions at this website.
