Dear Students,

Good morning.  I hope your weekend was enjoyable.  We are on the home stretch of 4th grade now, but I expect more work out of you then ever before.  We will be having a serious conversation regarding your work ethic at morning meeting.

Please order your lunch, read the message and wash your hands.  While you are up, please put your library books on the cart.  Next, you should work with a partner to do last week's spelling test.  Once that is done, make sure you have completed the "Possessive Nouns" page and the "What is a Preposition?" page.  Finally, take a multiplication timed test from the back table and begin working on that.

Hello!  Today, some of you will take the NYS Science test.  You will have a chance to show off your hands-on science skills.  I think you will actually enjoy this test! Those of you who are not taking the test, please make sure you have enough books to read!

I have new Morning Measuring Stations for you to complete this week.  Be sure to read the sheet carefully so you use the correct unit.  While you are waiting to measure, please put your name on the pink Grammar Patrol booklet.  Next, you should number the pages from 1-38.  Finally, please read and complete pages 29-30.

I'd like to teach you a new routine today called Measure It!  To get yourself ready, please stop by the easel and write down one type of measurement you could find.  Think creatively...there are many ways to measure!
