This week we learned:
We learned that heritage includes dancing, music, language, games and holidays.  (Maggie)
I learned that ancestors are people who were born before us. (Brooke)
This week we learned about the three states of matter.  They are liquid, solid and gas.  (Matthew)
I learned about the commutative property.  For example, 5 X 4 = 20 and 4 X 5 = 20. (Ryan)
I learned about the big ideas and seed stories.  Personal narratives need seed stories. (Melanie)

Here are a few pictures that represent our learning...

Please read the message, order lunch and wash your hands.  Next, use your iPad to take a picture of something that represents your learning this week.  After that, I would like you to use the Math Bingo app to practice your multiplication facts.

_____Anna _____, _____Peter, Kaitlyn_____ and ______ will share today.

I look forward to getting a little more spoiled today by all of you!

Kindly,
Mrs. Harvey

Dear Parents,

Thank you for coming tonight.  I look forward to discussing our class routines and expectations with you.  Please find your child's desk and watch the video that is there for you.  You also should visit the various tables to sign up for a parent/teacher conference or our class parties.  While you wait for things to get started please complete the Daily Common Core Review on your child's desk.  This will give you a sense of what kind of math we are completing this year. You are also welcome to complete the various paperwork on the desk!  I look forward to speaking with you!

Kindly,
Melinda Harvey
