Good morning,

I am glad to see you today.  Please come right in and get ready for our day.  Donald will do the announcements.  Caprice________, _Nathan_______ and ________ will share.

After you have ordered your lunch, washed your hands and read the message, please read this week's poem.  Next, you should number your spelling folder from 1-20.  Finally, work with a partner to "perform" today's poem.  One person reads the regular lines, another reads the italicized lines. 

This week is Area and Perimeter week.  We will have conversations about when to find the area and when to find the perimeter.  To get things started, can you find the perimeter and area of this this shape?
